Daily Prayer for Tuesday, September 8, 2026, titled: “God with us in the daily history of mankind”

On the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the liturgy presents us with the genealogy of Jesus. A chain of generations made of light and shadows, saints and sinners, through which God faithfully prepares the coming of the Savior. Let us welcome the joy of the birth of the Mother of God, a sign of Emmanuel coming to dwell among us.

Lord Jesus, Son of David and Son of Mary.
You are Emmanuel, God made flesh for us.
You enter the jagged furrows of human generations.
No past weakness stops your plan of love.

Dazzling Light, bless the birth of Most Holy Mary.
In Her you prepared a pure ark for salvation.
Teach our souls trust in your divine design.
Guide our steps within the folds of today’s history.

Spirit of Holiness, illuminate the doubts in our minds.
Like Joseph, give us the courage to obey in silence.
